During workshops, youth will take part in numerous attempts of playing in orchestra, in thematic classes and in football trainings. Connecting football and society, project “Europe- first whistle” is trying to show, using sport and music, how important is mutual recognition, tolerance and respect for others and how important role plays Europe as a reference point of tolerance coexistence. The goal of the project is to give young people a chance to know each other crossing all limits- not as passive spectators at the edge of political and sporting events but in an active way. According to the European idea of common integration, project “Europe- first whistle”, thanks to sport and music, wants to build small bridges of understanding, give a soul to European community, boost the spirit of Europe’s team. Music and sports workshops will enable expression of cultural and sport emotions as well as creating specific rules, which young people can use in further European cooperation. Playing on wind instruments and playing football- this is how children from Poland, Germany and Ukraine at age 10-16 are spending a week in International Youth Meeting Place. Pilot project was held in summer of the year 2011.|
